Hi! My name is Ricky Phuc Loi Tiet and I am a part of the graduating class of 2018 at Collegiate High School. I am an aspiring computer scientist, and while my focus in currently undecided, I am interested in artificial intelligence, software development, and embedded systems. I am a huge geek, I love all sorts of science and math and am always interested in learning more about them. Whenever I could find free time, I enjoy playing computer video games.
Ricky is the the team captain of Team 10862, and occupies various roles on the team. He serves as the lead programmer, as well as an engineer and manager for the team.
My name is Christine Satterwhite, I attend Collegiate High School as a freshmen. I'm interested in becoming a Marine Biologist because I find life in general interesting and less than 1% of Earth’s oceans are discovered. I enjoy reading mostly fiction but nonfiction if it’s interesting enough, watching tv shows and movies, writing sometimes, just random stuff in general. When I first heard of the robotics program I was skeptical because I didn’t know exactly what I was going to do but I ended up applying anyways. Initially I was only interested in programming because it was all I had really been exposed to but after I learned more about robotics and what was required I became interested in programming as well management.
Hi my name is Maria Leach Flores, I am a sophomore at Collegiate High School. I am an engineer for team 10862. I hope to become one of two things, a Forensic Anthropologist or a Traveling nurse. I enjoy listening to music, singing, drawing, reading, and hanging out with my friends. I have been in robotics for two years, last year I was on team 12285. 12285 was a team that made me not really enjoy the robotics program but this year I was put on a different team. When I joined 10862 I realized that I was going to be able to have a more hands on experience. I love being part of this team, I'm not as involved as I would like to be but I participate as much as I can. Being part of the robotics program has widen my skills on working with tools and people, it's a great place to work, meet new people and learn. I plan on growing more throughout the rest of my high school years.
I’m Katie Nguyen and I am currently in my junior year at Collegiate High School. I hope to become a biomedical engineer with a focus on cellular and biomolecular engineering in the future. During my free time, I love learning about new concepts that pique my interest, as well as binge watching How to Get Away with Murder. In addition, I enjoy listening to music, hanging out with my friends, and reading when I can (albeit I do it very rarely). As for robotics, this is my second year being a part of the robotics program and team 10862 at my school. One of my primary goals for this competition season is to expand upon my knowledge from last year. Initially, I joined robotics to expose myself to new experiences. After a year of being a part of this program, I have learned much more than I initially thought, and I feel like I have finally found my role within the team. Through this team, I have built strong relationships with people, enhanced my soft skills, and learned how to apply scientific and mathematical concepts to real-world situations. Sincerely, I believe that joining this program and team has impacted my life in a positive way.
As a member of Team 10862, Katie acts as a manager and an engineer. Besides her primary roles, she takes on other roles as well, displaying versatility much like other members in the team.
Hi my name is Vincent Le, and I’m an 11th grader attending Collegiate High School. My hobbies and interests consist of playing online games and caring for aquatic species. I joined Robotics last year, and it was one of the best choices I have made in my life. I didn’t have many expectations for Robotics, since I saw it as just an after school thing, but it was much more than that. I learned essential skills, such as organization, critical thinking, and most importantly, teamwork. The Robotics program has taught me valuable lessons as a person, that I’d be able to apply to real world situations. The role I play as part of team 10862, would be the mainly the marketer, but I would also like to work on more engineering, for this upcoming FTC season.
Vincent Le is the lead marketer as well as an engineer in Team 10862, designing the logo among one of the many things he has done for 10862.
I am Sai, I am a junior in Collegiate HIgh School. I am inspired to be either a Robotic Engineer or Cardiologist. Although I haven't decided what to do, I think that FIRST is going to help me to make the choice. People call me “Encyclopedia of the Robotics”because I know many teams and all the parts in the shop. I love playing sports and watch TV shows. My favourite TV show is the Flash.
Sai Chinnisani is the lead engineer and a FIRST robotics expert.
My name is Chula Salinas. I am a freshman at Collegiate High School. I want to become a forensic scientist. I love to read, write, draw, sing and paint, to name a few. I joined robotics to learn new things. Learning new things is my ultimate goal in life. Reason being is because the the more things I learn, the more of an ability I have to impact the world in a positive way. Maybe solve some of the world's biggest problems, to ensure a future for the next generation. Make it a safe and happy planet. My role on the team is being a marketer. While being a marketer, I also what to partially participate in engineering.
Hi! My name is Mike Tran and I am a student at Collegiate high school. I am interested in being an engineer when I grow up. Though I am more interested in building stuff in my garage, when I gain enough knowledge about engineering I will take my skill to the next level. When I found out about robotics I was not sure if it was right for me. Though after reviewing my goals I knew it was perfect. I soon regretted hesitating to join as I wasn't quick enough to get in the robotics class, that's fine though. Currently i'm an engineer in team 10862 and will help lead this team to victory, GO DROID RAGE!
Hello, my name is Braelyn Vazquez, I am currently attending Collegiate High School in the class of 2021. What I'm interested in is becoming an astronaut because I am beyond fascinated with all of space and would love to explore it. My hobbies consist of me drawing, writing my own stories, watching YouTube, reading, and watching the stars. The reason why I wanted to join robotics is because I wanted to meet new people and gain more confidence in myself, and also to gain experience in taking apart and putting things together which I'm sure I will need in my career. Also, I've watched so so many movies(new and old) and I know a lot of actors. My family and I are basically movie hoarders.
I would love to be an engineer and also a programmer, pretty much anything I can do
GO DROID RAGE!
